Happy new year from CFG! The gym is still operating on limited hours for the rest of this week so be sure to check the times to the right.  We will be operating an 'open gym' for the rest of this week (Thursday onwards) in order to give us time to complete the work that is going on.  If any of you love to tile or plaster, let us know, as for all the offers for painting, you time will come (end of Jan). We really appreciate your patience during these necessary changes and we hope that you'll enjoy the new look facility and the exciting possibilities it gives us for programming. From Monday 7th we hope to be back to regular working hours.  There is no mobility.  No Olympic lifting.  On the weekend there will be a girls WOD at 11 on Saturday that will tackle problem lifts and pullup and muscle up progressions and Sunday there will be a hero WOD written up for you all to have a go at between 10 and 1. Fundamentals starts up on Monday 14th.  There will be a few changes, the presses and deadlifts class will be merged and we are cutting it down to 2 classes per day, Monday to Thursday.  06.15 and 17.30.  A timetable will be posted shortly. The next cycle of the paleo challenge has been delayed until after the refurb as we'll require the floor space and rig for testing. Please register your interest in cycle [...]

Games Open 12.3   Excellent efforts by all who have taken on Games Open WOD 12.3 so far. Today will offer a final chance for everyone to get, or improve on, their score. Even if you are not taking part, come down to the box and show your support for your fellow athletes. This week we will have Olympic Lifting on Tuesday at 20.00 - a great opportunity to refine your technique and one of few remaining chances for the competitors to work with Ray and Haris before the Scottish Open on the 31st of March. Last chance for submitting an entry form is the 17th of March - No Exceptions. Wednesday evening will see another mobility WOD with Jonny Kilpatrick from Physio Effect. After several weeks of the Games WODs you will undoubtedly have developed some tension and possibly even some embryonic niggles - get yourselves along and improve your range of motion before 12.4. Thursday will herald the penultimate WOD of the Open Games: 12.4. Our guess is on short and technical or super heavy but as always it is unknown and unknowable. CFG remain a contender for the top 20 boxes in Europe and that trip to Copenhagen looms ever nearer. Come down and do your bit. The attendance, effort and atmosphere has so far been incredible, make sure you are a part of it. Conditioning for Parkour will run again on Thursday evening - loads of dynamic energy efficient movement patterns developed under the watchful eyes [...]

Tonight at 7.15pm Jonny is taking a mobility class, it's only £3 per person, this is a perfect chance to loosen up in preparation for the Open as well as a great chance to prepare for Fran on Friday (the 3rd and final PS retest).
