With over 10 years of operation, a tremendously supportive community, excellent coaching staff, and a wide range of services, our gym offers a fitness experience at a scale that is currently unmatched in the city. One of the primary reasons why we believe we are the best gym in Glasgow is our unwavering commitment to our members. We prioritize building a supportive community that fosters motivation, encouragement, and inclusivity. Our members are not just clients; they are part of a family that supports and inspires each other to reach their fitness goals. The sense of camaraderie and belonging that our gym provides sets us apart from other fitness facilities in the area. Our coaching staff is another key factor that contributes to our status as the best gym in Glasgow. We take great pride in developing highly qualified and experienced coaches who are passionate about helping individuals achieve their fitness potential. CFG Update 26 Sept

By |2021-09-28T09:05:46+01:00September 28th, 2021|Weekly Update|

Good Morning,Team, we would like to highlight the issues surrounding cancellation/reservations of classes.  Over the last month or so we have had people mass booking their classes and then mass cancellations at the last minute.  Please be aware that this takes away an opportunity for other members to take advantage of your spot.  We would ask that if you need to cancel a morning class that you do this before you go to sleep the night before.  Day time/evening classes, an hour plus notice gives people a change as well to pop into your space.  Early morning classes are set up to take the space on a first come first serve basis through email. Later morning through to evening classes are set up to offer the space to the first person on the waitlist.  10th year Anniversary Tops, Crews and Hoodies are in!  If you have pre-ordered yours it is now ready for collection at the front desk.  There are a few extras available through our Shop if you missed out on this!  CrossFit Glasgow Store (crossfit-glasgow.myshopify.com) NOTICES This coming weekend (Oct 2nd & 3rd), we are hosting a Level-1 CrossFit Seminar.  All Team WODS, Cardio and Teens will be held in our new archway to the right of the main CrossFit arch. Please look out for details on a members climbing day at Glasgow Climbing Centre on Paisley Road West.  We are aiming to do this on Saturday October 16th at 18:00-19:45, just waiting on confirmation from the centre.   DATES FOR DIARY MOBILITY [...]

Good Morning!A quick announcement before we get to the exciting stuff!  This coming Wednesday the 18th Aug, we will be doing an Archway swap. The Main CrossFit WOD will be in Arch 2 (to the left of main archway).  This will be a team WOD and will involve rope climbs!!  As always there will be scaling options if you have never done these before or are fairly new to them.  It is advisable to cover your shins with either long socks or leggings/joggers.  Prepare for fun!10 Year Anniversary Party! In 2011 Iain Barbour rolled the dice on a training program that few had heard of and fewer would try; but that ultimately changed his life and the lives of thousands worldwide over the next decade. The doors opened to 42 people in the first week - armed with only 5 barbells, some squat racks, PVC pipes, ab mats, home made wooden boxes and a lot of good intention. Assisted by his extremely good-looking friend Gavin and with the support of their friends and family; Iain created the physical location for the CrossFit Glasgow affiliate which would later grow to become the largest CrossFit gym in Scotland. A ten year affiliate is a special thing and largely we owe this status to you, the special people that make our place everything that it is and will be.For our 10 year anniversary we will be hosting a big day of events at the gym followed up by some high intensity refreshments at Paisley Rugby Club [...]

CFG Update 29th May 2021

By |2021-06-07T12:36:30+01:00June 7th, 2021|Weekly Update|

Hey Team,Not too much to report in the update this week other than Glasgow remains in tier 3 for another week.  Please keep up the great work and diligence in wearing facemasks around the gym when not in your station and cleaning your stations after use. We are set up to do Murph on Wednesday for the main workout, this will take place in the archway to the left (Arch 2) of the main CrossFit archway (Arch 1).  This will enable us to take a few more members in each class and also access to the bar for those that wish to do pullups for the workout.  It will be a paired event with our time constraint off 45min.“Murph” has become one of the most famous CrossFit workouts, globally, especially as a tribute on U.S. Memorial Day (the last Monday of May), when the workout is sometimes referred to as “Memorial Day Murph.” The workout, as prescribed (“Rx”), requires a weight vest but allows the athlete to partition the work as needed.  The workout was named after Navy SEAL Lt. Michael P. Murphy, who was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2005.  After his death, he was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honour for his bravery. The Murph was a favourite workout of Lt. Murphy, although he called it Body Armor, per CrossFit. The story of Lt. Murphy (and the other members of SEAL Team 10) is told in the book Lone Survivor, as well as a movie by the same name.Refer a Friend:If you [...]
