No, please use the contact us form and let us know you are interested in trying out CrossFit, a coach will be in touch with you ASAP.

Yes, absolutely. Our programming is designed to test even the most elite level CrossFitter as we believe you will never be 'fit' enough. However, our coaches are there to 'scale' each workout and tailor it to your individual needs in order to help you progress in the quickest and most effective manner. We record all your times, weights and if you scaled every for every workout you do to track your athletic progression.

For those new to CrossFit and it's disciplines, we offer the "Fundamentals" classes which cover all the basic movements and their correct execution before going into the main workouts.

A member of CrossFit Glasgow gets face-time with our highly qualified coaches every time they enter the facility, are taught technique and has their form reviewed every time they exercise. The programming is done for you, daily, and all the results are recorded in order to effectively track your progress. Members also get discounted access to other services offered by CrossFit Glasgow, such as the 90 Day Paleo Challenge, Parkour, Olympic Lifting, and Strength Sessions. You will also be invited to social events and be part of a friendly, proactive community.

We get asked this ALL the time... No. Strength is an important factor in fitness and you can expect to lift heavy weights at CFG, this should especially be addressed if it's a weakness. However, in order to get that big, bulky shape you need to be lifting heavy on a much larger frequency than we will program and eating an enormous number of calories. Our programming will feature heavy weights but it will also cater for those that love a longer, lighter workout heading into the 20minute time domain and our Paleo Challenge should keep you looking strong and lean!

Join us on FaceBook and Twitter, if you are part of / organising an event let us know and we will post it up. If you are interested in coaching then see a member of staff about training and level 1 certification.

Excuses

Yes you do. Our classes are based on 1-hour time slots during which we get people warmed-up, coach technique, workout, skills development and cool down. For those unusually pressed for time this provides a safe, effective workout in 25-30mins and for those on a less hectic schedule, they can enjoy the chance to develop skills under the expert eyes of our staff post workout.
If that's not enough, you need to prioritise your health before you can find a formula that works!

Don't be.  With capped class sizes we ensure everyone receives the attention they need during each workout whilst keeping the atmosphere more private.  Remember, everyone at CFG trains with us to improve, nobody is 'there yet' and 'perfect', (except maybe Rich Froning Jnr and Anníe Þórisdóttir).

There is a tremendously supportive atmosphere at CrossFit Glasgow, it is perfectly normal for the more experienced members and other coaching staff to workout alongside those training for the first time, we are all here to progress and do so as a community.  Leave your ego at the door and train to your maximum capacity.

Yeah, maybe it does.  However, at CFG you will receive coaching every time you come in to train.  We offer the highest standard of coaching, write your programming and monitor your progression to show you how you are benefiting from training at our facility. Our equipment is second to none, our staff are highly qualified and our community is strong and sociable.

So you can't do a handstand press-up? Never even heard of a muscle-up? Not important. CrossFit is about progression and you will not be required to perform any of these movements until you have mastered the basics. We run Fundamentals classes which focus on technique.  Once you progress to regular WODs we can scale each workout to maximise your personal development, all you need to do is try your best and if you have any difficulty we will be there to help you overcome it!
