WOD 24th Apr ’12

Published by Iain on April 23rd, 2012 - in WOD

Well done to all who took part in yesterday’s WOD, some great weights being lifted!
Thursday night there will be a new class available at 19.15, a kettlebell class, it will cost just £3 for members and £5 for non-members. This class is designed to develop skill with the kb over a few sessions so don’t expect to learn all there is to know in one lesson, like Olympic Lifting, that just won’t happen.
Tonight is Olympic Lifting, come in and learn from Ray and Haris, ask them about your technique and refine your skill in all speed / power lifts. They also offer advice on programming.

WOD
A. Perform the following complex twice to complete a set:
1x power clean
2x hang power clean
1x split jerk
Touch and go on the second power clean, perform 5 sets, build up to heaviest weight possible.

then

12 min AMRAP
8 Deadlifts 100/65kg
16 Pistols (alternating leg)
32 Double unders
Post weight and rounds to comments.

Matador how’s the back from last night? Mine is smoked. However i’ve got to ask, what’s the deal with the 100kg Rx today but only 80 last night :)

I’m doing 12.5 this afternoon and there’s not one part of me that isn’t sore. This should be fun.

Plus I found the Manchester leaderboard. My score is right up there. I’ve still not lost it :)

  3. BigRed says:

Since my mission is to do the open wods that I missed and the Manc wods, I decided to do Open wod 12.5-

126 reps (Cheers to Steve and Iain for shouting at me)

After last night and my result today I actually think i’ve got better since being at sea. Work that one out

  4. Anna says:

35-37.5-40-42.5-45kg 6 rounds + 8DL@65kg (bench pistols)! Amazing WOD – I am going to do it again in like half an hour or something :)
