WOD 3 Rounds for time 50 air squats 10 wall climbs 1 block run This week the WODs will not be posted up until the evening, with the scores. So listen to your body and book into the classes. This weekend Gavin and Iain are away at the CrossFit Football Cert so Saturday 4 February's Girls WOD and Sunday 5 February's 10am WOD are cancelled. In place of the girls workout there will be a standard 11am WOD. The team WOD will run as normal. The following weekend is the London Throwdown. Saturday 11 February's WODs will run as normal and the gym will be closed on Sunday 12th, so please mark that date in your diaries. This week, the following classes are on as usual: Tuesday 8pm - Olympic Lifting Thursday 7pm - Conditioning for Parkour Make an effort to attend these classes, as the Games Open nears (25th Feb) we need to work on our technique and proficiency in as many movements as possible. We don't know what will come up, so you might as well make the time to learn as much as you can. I hope to see as many of you as possible signing up for the Open regardless of your ability. There is a lot to look forward to at CrossFit Glasgow in the near future, look out for pilates classes, mobility classes, re-introduction of strength programming, hosting an Olympic Lifting competition in April as well as a CrossFit lifting competition and for Iain [...]

A few things going on in the coming weeks. First of all Gavin and Iain will be away from Friday evening and through the weekend attending the CrossFit Football cert in Northampton. This means that the girls only WOD will not take place and the 10am WOD on Sunday is also cancelled for this week. The following week is the London Throwdown, WODs will run as normal however the gym will be shut on the Sunday. So no gym on Sunday 12th Feb. This whole week is going to be a 'black box' week meaning the programming will not feature on the website, we will post the WOD with scores at the end of each day. Remember to use the online booking system. You can book 2 weeks in advance but remember to cancel bookings as well if you can't attend so others can access the WODs. Olympic Lifting is on Tuesday 8pm, Parkour - Thursday 7pm and team WOD Sunday 11am. Please sign up to each on the board, it's important we all test ourselves and these classes have an awful lot to teach so make the effort to come along. So to repeat: Sat 4th - No girls WOD, just normal WODs at 9/10/11 Sun 5th - No 10am WOD Sun 12th - Gym closed

Quick note to everyone, Parkour is on Thursday night at 7pm.  Please write your name on the WOD board if you plan on attending it.  This is a great class that is open to people of all experience, capability and age groups.  The workouts are cleverly designed to challenge your coordination, agility and accuracy, all important aspects of fitness that are often overlooked in regular programming.  So before you write yourself off, please give the class a go.  It's completely free, it does not use up one of your WODs for those on the 2/3 times a week memberships so you have no excuses not to try something new! We are also looking to bring back Jonny's mobility classes and introduce Mariam's pilates classes.  We are considering Monday 19.15 pilates and Wednesday evenings for mobolity.  Both will incur a small fee (£5 or less) we would like to gauge interest so can everyone please post if they would use these classes regularly. The Girls Only WOD will begin this week and take up the 11-12 WOD time on a saturday morning unless there are any serious objections. It will consist of a series a series of individual and team-based workouts with additional coaching dedicated to the lifts and movements that the ladies of CFG need to develop to become a new wave of Thorsdottir-like WOD machines. Again register your interest via comments or the face book page. On a final note, can everyone please use the online booking system to [...]
