Olympic Lifting resumes from 8pm tonight, also conditioning for parkour is on Thursday.  We expect another big turnout to both classes, lets keep learning something new!   WOD   Bench press 5-5-5-5-5 then 5 rounds of 7 press-ups 3 wall climbs

This is the first lot of retests for the Paleo Challenge, so there will be a little heads up on the coming workouts so you all know not to miss them! Wednesday is the bleep test and Friday the CrossFit Total.   WOD   FRAN.  Yeah buddy!  Look forward to seeing a few PR's, time to dig deep.

Halloween workout this Saturday at 6pm, fancy dress is mandatory.  Looks like a lot of people will be attending so make sure you don't miss out on the fun! Last night saw the start of the Olympic Lifting classes hosted by Ray and Haris, the response has been fantastic and we are happy to say that these classes look to run 2 nights a week (Tuesday and Wednesday TBC).  If you didn't make it along but still wish to take part next week please leave a message in comments. In addition, many thanks to Hugh of Greaves Sports who gave us a great deal on lifting shoes. Conditioning for Parkour continues on Thursday at 7pm, this is a great class for people of all abilities (and no girls, it is not outside in the rain).                 WOD Strict Press 3-3-3 into 1 attempt at max rep push press. then:   3x 3min AMRAP / 60s rest   5 Ground to overhead 60/42.5kg 5 Overhead squat 5 bar-facing burpees   Post completed rounds to comments

Olympic Lifting is tonight at 8pm!  Also from 7:30 Hugh from Greaves Sports will be in with a selection of Olympic Lifting shoe sizes for people to try and buy with a 10% discount.   WOD   Back Squat - 1-10-1-20-1-30 then: Max DU in 2mins Back Squat will be a bit of a judgement call for the 20 and 30 rep max, just keep your head in it, take your time and make sure you are set before each rep! This is a summary of all the major things going on at CrossFit Glasgow this coming week, please post to comments if any of this concerns you or if you want to take part! Tuesday - 8pm Will be our first weightlifting night with Ray Cavanagh and Haris Ansari. If you are interested in joining this class please let us know so we can get a feel for numbers. This is a chance to learn from some of the best in Scotland as well as an opportunity to learn more about the weightlifting club we have set up at the gym. Greaves are also offering to attend the class with a selection of weightlifting shoe sizes and an offer of 10% discount should enough people be interested in getting a pair. So voice up and let us know. So far Alan, Adam, Rachel and JP have said they may get a pair. Bring your card as you can buy on-site! Thursday - 7pm Conditioning for Parkour continues, this class is proving extremely beneficial to CrossFitters and utilises a number of attributes we often neglect (accuracy, balance, co-ordination), this is a challenging class that caters for people of all ability levels. Saturday - 6pm Halloween WOD - Fancy dress required, come in and do a WOD! Bound to be a lot of fun and stay after to socialise and enjoy some snacks. Sunday - 1pm Team WOD - come down and compete as a team, sizes will vary from paired WODs [...]
